The highly anticipated Ramayana is shaping up to be one of the most prestigious films in Bollywood. Produced by Allu Arvind in collaboration with some of Bollywood's top producers and directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film's official announcement has finally arrived. The makers have revealed that the epic will be released in two parts, with the first part slated for a Diwali 2026 release and the second part set for Diwali 2027. A poster showcasing the release dates has been unveiled, marking a new milestone for this ambitious project.

The film has generated a lot of buzz on social media in recent months, with several photos from the shooting reportedly leaked. Ranbir Kapoor, who will portray Lord Ram, has shared that he is undergoing intense training and following a strict diet for the role, even quitting alcohol to prepare. Sai Pallavi, who will play Sita, expressed her excitement about the role, calling it a dream come true. "Ramayana is a story I grew up hearing. I consider myself fortunate to portray Seethamma. I approached this role as a devotee, not just as an actress," she said.

Yash will take on the role of Ravana, while Sunny Deol is expected to play Hanuman. Lara Dutta has been cast as Kaikeyi, and Rakul Preet Singh will portray Surpanakha.

In terms of technical collaboration, Nitesh Tiwari’s team has reportedly consulted with the Oscar-winning VFX company DNEG for the visual effects. Dialogue writing for the Telugu version of the film has been entrusted to the talented Trivikram Srinivas. For the film’s music, the team has secured an extraordinary combination of talent. AR Rahman, known for his soulful compositions, will lead the music, while renowned Hollywood composer Hans Zimmer, famous for his work on blockbusters, has signed on to provide the score. Zimmer, after hearing the story, reportedly agreed to join the project immediately and is eagerly anticipating the opportunity to begin his work.

This ambitious adaptation of Ramayana promises to be a groundbreaking cinematic event, combining a stellar cast, high-end technology, and music by two of the world’s finest composers.
